Good looking walnut but mounting hook was not square to the plaque and the wood was not pre drilled to mount the back to the front. Probably ok with softer woods but not with walnut. Also, maybe it's just my fan but it does not sit low enough to be centered in the front plate. Will probably remove metal hook and mount it in the back plate to allow the fan to sit lower. Great web site and easy to order and fast shipping considering the issues going on right now.

5 of 5 Mounting your Grand Slam May 28, 2019

I completed my North American Grand Slam 2 years ago and have been fortunate enough to complete it twice now.  TWS made it easy to get the fans up and they look great on the wall. The only thing I did different is use the tacks to nail in below the holes because of the way I mount spurs and beards together I'm blessed to have a lot of beards and spurs.  I should've purchased 5 because I will be adding a Goulds turkey to the wall in the next year or so.  I will be coming back to TWS for another plaque soon.  If you have fans to mount the TWS Turkey Fan Beard Plaque is the way to go.  Easy to assemble, classy looking and well constructed.
